To the one I dearly called "mwana wamai vangu" and we laughed as we translated it literally to "child of my mother". Been a very long time now without you my friend. So much has happened and I stand in owe of the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. After your death I too like Apostle Paul can say ....what can separate me from the love of God. Shaken and thoroughly shocked by your passing, I can say I know that peace that surpasses all understanding and it is only because of the love of God for me. What was meant to destroy me has drawn me closer to Father than never before. As we have a few hours to crossover to a year you will never experience with me...I pause now to light a candle and remember all the midnight calls at the turn of the year and I smile at the love we had which nothing can ever take away.
